Flight to Freedom

                                               Flight to Freedom

At this early stage, having read only fifteen pages from the book, i have made some predictions. But untile i know the characters better and have read more into the book, then i will be more  sure about them .Never the less i think i will be right.

My first prediction is that her father is trying to collect money so they can escape from Cuba. This you can understand just by reading the  title of the book "Flight to Freedom".There is a law in Cuba that says if you are born or have visited Cuba you can no longer go to any other country in the world.
Yara's dad is working very hard day and night to collect money so his family can flee to another county.

My second prediction is that Yara being the eldest daughter, she feels that she doesn't get as much attention as her other siblings do. She feels that she is not as important as her other sublings are.Yara is really close with her sublings especially with her sister Anna maria.Being the eldest of the children she has a lot of responsibilities.

Her father told her to "never trust people that she doesnt know really well"because her secrets maybe out in the open one day and there for will have consequences to deal with. Her father gets worried because he doesn't want Yara to tell her friends that her father is trying to collect money so they can escape Cuba. If her friends find out there is a possibility that the police might find out too .In case of that happening ...THEY WILL ARREST THEM AND THEY COULD NO LONGER EVER ESCAPE!!!

Female leaders

Why do people think that women are not a good leader or an empress ?? I believe that both women and males could be a good leader. One good example of a female leader is Queen Victoria who was  the queen of England. She was a queen  from 20 June 1837 until her death. Victoria was born raised by her German-born mother Princess Victoria. She inherited the throne at the age of 18 after her father's three elder brothers died. She married her first cousin. Queen Victoria was the longest reigning British monarch and the longest reigning female monarch. She While she ruled Britain became the most powerful country, and the years while she ruled are called the Victorian era.
An other good example of a good queen is Catherine the Great. She was born on May the 2nd in 1796.She was chosen at age 14 to be the wife of the future Peter III. The marriage was a complete failure.Catherine saw the possibility of eliminating him and governing Russia herself. In her 34-year reign she led Russia into full participation in European political and cultural life. With her ministers she reorganized the administration and law of the Russian Empire and extended Russian territory, adding the Crimea and much of Poland.
One more example is Indria Candhi. She was born on the 19th of 1917 and she died in 1917 she was assassinated. She was known as the prime minister of India, 1966-77 and 1980-84.Indira Gandhi was the prime minister of India from 1966-77 and 1980-84 and one of the most famous women in 20th century politics.Indira spent her life amid Indian politics. In 1959 she was elected to the presidency of the Indian National Congress, and in 1964 she was elected to the parliament.she declared a state of emergency and clamped down on her opposition. She lost the election of 1977 and was out of office until a comeback in 1980, when she was again elected to be prime minister. She was married to Feroze Gandhi  and had two sons.
As you see in my examples there are many strong female leaders that have made big progress in there countries. Most of all these women were in charge not only for their countries but also empires.
